IBUPROFEN/MOTRIN

CHILDREN UNDER 6 MONTHS OF AGE CAN'T TAKE IBUPROFEN

Do not take medication without consulting a Physician!!! 

ADULT DOSING FOR OVER THE
COUNTER MEDICATIONS

Tylenol/Acetaminophen

500 - 1,000 mg every 8 hours

It typically comes in 500mg tablets, so take 1-2 tablets every 8 hours. 

Motrin/Ibuprofen/Aleve/Naprosyn

These are all classified as NSAIDS. Choose one of these, but only one. 

Motrin/Ibuprofen

400-800mg every hours 

It typically comes in 200mg tablets or capsules, so take 2-4 tablets every 8 hours

Aleve/Naprosyn

It typically comes in 220mg-500mg tablets or capsules, so depending on the quantity of the tablet,  take 1-2 tablets every 12 hours.  Do not take more that 500mg in a 12 hour period.
